Crockport Siege Continues
26th Day of Reaping, CY 592
General Hargamac, Order of the Hart (Furyondy), continues to lead the siege against the occupied City of Crockport. Lord Sidow Noct of the Boneshadow continues to maintain a stranglehold on the city, since his capture of the city in early Coldeven. The effectiveness of the siege has been called into question by some prominent nobles, but the valor shown by the knights cannot be questioned. Aiding greatly in this effort are the Kordite priests from Verbobonc. Hargamac insists that the siege is bearing fruit, but a full scale assault on the city may be months away.
Battle of Toric Glen
27th Day of Goodmonth, CY 592
King Thrommel and his Invincibles have proven their merit in battle time and again. Rumors have spread for several weeks that Iuz had set his sights on the city of Free Borough. General Karthas of the Boneheart was amassing an army north of the city after he destroyed the Critwall Bridge earlier in the year. The loss of Free Borough would effectively cut off river travel between the north and south portions of the kingdom. The Invincibles struck a powerful blow by routing Karthas's army and killing the general. A marker has been raised in the valley commemorating the great victory. News of the death of one of Iuz's favored generals spread cheer throughout the kingdom.
Fort Belvor Falls
5th Day of Harvester, CY 592
On the heels of the great victory at Toric Glen, a crushing defeat took place at Fort Belvor. The fort has long stood as a symbol of defiance against Iuz due to its position across the Veng River from Molag, home of Iuz and the Horned Society. It was expected to fall much earlier in the war, but it managed to hold out for several months. General Tralon of the Boneheart launched a midnight offensive against the fort. By morning the standard of our departed king no longer waved above the parapets. Some reports indicate that the bodies of the fallen soldiers have been hung from the walls after being flayed. Rumors indicate that Lord Null, Archmage of the Boneshadow, participated in the assault.
Battle on the Ice Plains of Orvus
19th Day of Harvester, CY 592
The Khannenhelm dwarves received some much needed aid from the group of heroes instrumental in restoring our king to the throne. A massive battle was fought at one of the defensive redoubts on the ice plains. The White's army of giants suffered heavy casualties before the ancient dragon showed up and turned the tide in favor of the giants. The heroes and some of the remaining dwarves made a tactical retreat. Sources indicate that the group will return very soon to prevent the dragon from invading Mount Odenkor.
After one the Khannenhelms' favored sons, Uthgar, returned home, the clan has promised to give some much needed aid to the war effort once their mountain home is secure. The dwarves have long been torn between sending aid against Iuz and the looming threat of a war with the giants.
Delvanos Caelith of the Riverwalk Society was felled in the battle. Caelith's tales of valor in the Stalagos have spread far and wide. A memorial service will be held in Chendl on this Freeday.
Here is a record of the intrepid adventurers, who braved the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. The adventure ran from October 2003 to November 2006. We now embark on the party's exploits in defeating Iuz and saving the free peoples of the Flanaess.
